We finally took a trip to Leica Wetzlar, the Mecca for photography lovers, and the plan was simple: test the Leica Q3, see how it feels, and if I truly love it-well, it might just be coming home with us. A bold gesture from my husband: ‘‘if you like it, we can buy it.’’

My heart skipped a beat. It’s finally happening!

Fifteen minutes into testing, I walked around the Leica store, cradling the sleek and mighty Q3 in my hands, absorbing every click of the shutter, every elegant detail in the design. But strangely enough… something didn’t click.

I never imagined I would fall in love with cars or automobiles in general.

Coming from a modeling background, I’d ridden in Ferraris and Corvettes, gliding through cities in luxury without ever giving a second thought to what powered the experience. To me, cars were status symbols- expensive toys designed for the thrill, not soul. I never felt connected to them.

Since becoming a mother, I noticed my 2 years old son has this curious obsession for cars. Watching the excitement and intrigue in his eyes whenever one drove by, even more excited when he spot classic cars and he would ask to know what car that was. So what did I do? I started paying attention to cars, noting their models and names in preparation for when the questions come (it felt like preparing for an exam you don’t want to fail at). This still didn’t change the way I felt about automobiles.

But one visit changed that.

Nestled quietly in the charming streets of Bad Nauheim, Sälly’s Café feels like a soft, sweet secret waiting to be shared. From the moment you step in, you can’t help but pause. Is it the scent of warm pastries and fresh coffee? The blush-toned interiors glowing in natural light? Or perhaps it’s the undeniable personality that wraps around you like a warm hug? Whatever it is, Sälly’s doesn’t just serve food - it serves feeling.

There are days when inspiration feels like a distant echo. That was how I felt walking through the gardens of Schloss Biebrich in Wiesbaden - a stunning 18th-century baroque palace that rests gracefully along the Rhein River. The architecture was undeniably beautiful, but somehow, I couldn’t feel it through the lens. I wandered quietly, camera in hand, searching for something that stirred my creative soul. With my family alongside me, we decided to head towards the riverside, hoping the change of scenery would shift the energy. I paused for a moment, turned around, and looked back at the palace. That was when it happened.

When I first sat down with the passionate new owners of this Ice Cream Café, I knew this wasn’t going to be a standard commercial shoot. Their story was one of transformation- from a former bar and restaurant to a warm, welcoming space filled with sweetness and laughter. What they needed wasn’t just ‘‘photos’’ - they needed their brand story told with emotion, atmosphere, and authenticity.

Sometimes finding the perfect family holiday escape can feel overwhelming. There are so many factors to consider: location, accessibility, infrastructure, kid-friendly, amenities, and, of course, safety. You want a place that not only ticks all these boxes but also offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere where you and your loved ones can relax and make lasting memories.

Well, what can I say……. No one ever plans a holiday expecting to spend it recovering in bed, but unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to me. What was supposed to be a dream getaway in Stockholm ended up partially cut short, turning into days of rest and recovery.

If there’s one thing I’d like to encourage others to do - and myself as well - it’s to own your personal style. There is no right or wrong in style, only your unique interpretation. Your style is your Identity, a reflection of who you are, a way of expressing yourself and standing out.
